What clinical services do you offer?
Psychological services, including individual therapy for adults, utilising modalities such as EMDR, DBR, attachment-based parenting, trauma-informed care, and neurodiverse-affirming approaches.

What is your availability?
I am available on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am to 4pm. If you require services outside of these hours I can refer to other services who have availability to best meet your needs.

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
Self referrals are welcome allowing you to book an appointment directly (without a referral). However, a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP allows you to access Medicare rebates.

Do you provide bulk billing?
Bulk billing is not available. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for each session. Private health insurance claims can also be made, as some plans may cover psychology services. If cost is a concern, we’re happy to discuss flexible payment options or refer you to alternative services that may suit your needs.

How much do sessions cost?
Fees vary based on the type of session:
$270 - 50 minute session (general)
$324 - 60 minute session (EMDR/DBR)
$380 - 70 minute session (EMDR/DBR)
$430 - 80 minute session (EMDR/DBR)

What payment methods do you accept? We accept EFTPOS, credit cards, and online payments.
Payment are accepted via bank transfer, EFTPOS, credit cards, and online payments. Payments are generally automatically processed using your card details either before or at the end of each session. It is your responsibility to ensure funds are available in your account prior to the consultation.

How long is a therapy session?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes, but this may vary depending on the service. Some treatments & sessions will vary between 50 - 90 minutes which will be discussed during treatment planning.

Can I get a Medicare rebate?
Yes, with a Mental Health Care Plan, you can receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per year.

How much is the current Medicare rebate?
The medicare rebate is approximately $96.65, which will be processed with medicare once you have paid the full consultation fee.

Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes, many private health funds cover psychology services. Please check with your provider about your eligibility. However, you will have to claim independently following the session.

How can I medicare rebates?
Your medicare rebates are processed as a complimentary gesture, following your payment by the practice. Once processed you will be provided with a receipt. Medicare will then deposit the rebate into your nominated bank account within 48-72 hours. Please note that if there are any issues with claiming it is your responsibility to follow up with medicare.

What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly request at least 24-48 hours' notice for cancellations to ensure that waitlisted clients have the opportunity to be seen. We understand that sometimes unexpected situations arise, but please be aware of the following cancellation fees:
Less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows: Full session fee (100%) will apply.
Less than 48 hours' notice: A 50% fee will apply.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us manage our schedule effectively.

Do you offer telehealth (online) sessions?
Yes, we provide video and phone consultations for clients. Please notify as soon as possible to ensure you receive the Telehealth link in advance. This option is suitable for remote clients, if you have cold or flu symptoms or unable to attend in person due to personal or work commitments.

Is my information confidential?
Yes, all sessions are private and confidential. However, there are certain legal exceptions where we may be required to disclose information, including if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if a court order or subpoena requires us to release your records or information.

Do you share information with my GP?
If you’re using a Mental Health Care Plan, we provide brief progress updates to your GP or Psychiatrist as required.

How long is your waitlist?
Waitlist times can range from 0 to 6 months, depending on availability. Please contact us for more detailed information, as wait times can vary throughout the year.

Do you provide therapy to children?
No, unfortunately I do not provide therapy to children only adults.

Do you use Evidence-Based treatment?
Yes, I only use evidence-based approaches that have been proven effective in treating various mental health concerns. These may include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Schema Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), COS (Circle of Security) and other therapeutic models supported by research.

How are notes taken in the session?
Notes are taken using a microphone on my device using AI tools to assist with note-taking, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of your sessions. This allows me to focus more on you during our time together while keeping your information secure and confidential. AI enhances the organisation of your treatment plan but never replaces the personal care and attention I provide.

Do you provide crisis care?
I do not provide crisis care, please contact Lifeline, consult your GP or present to your local hospital Emergency Department if you require any urgent care, crisis support or immediate intervention.

Am I eligible for any additional medicare rebates?
Once you have accessed your 10 Medicare sessions for the year, you may be eligible for the Complex Care Plan item number 10968 if you have complex or chronic health needs, which may entitle you to an additional 5 Medicare rebates. Please discuss this with your GP to ensure you meet the criteria.

Yes, your Medicare rebate may change if you reach your Medicare safety net, this can result in a rebate of up to 80% of the consultation fee. Please check with Medicare for further details.
