Udayeeka “Udi” Kashyap is an ambitious, open minded and enthusiastic Psychology student from Curtin University who has kindly offered to intern at the practice.  Udi is determined to create a more inclusive environment in the field of Psychology to ensure that people can access culturally sensitive and appropriate psychological care. It is Udi’s passion to be able to help, connect and understand the struggles of mental health, especially in women. Udi is excited to engage and contribute to the Power to Change Group Therapy Program.

Udi will be  managing referrals, bookings, inquiries, emails, legal & medical correspondence, psychological screeners and invoicing to ensure seamless operations within the practice. Udi plays a crucial role in facilitating continuity of care by adhering to best practices.

Udi upholds the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics as set by the Australian Psychological Society. Her blend of professional competence and personal warmth makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

Outside of her studies Udi enjoys simple things such as,  “beach therapy walks”, reading, swimming, running, music and art.

Jamiela provides psychological services in private practice to adults. Consulting across areas including complex trauma, attachment, parenting, ADHD, domestic violence, family court matters, immigration, perinatal mental health and sexual assault.

Jamiela strives to provide excellence in psychological services, drawing upon a solid foundation of experience and evidenced based knowledge which was developed across the NGO, public and private sector.

Jamiela has a warm, empathetic, holistic and strength based approach tailored to meet each persons unique psychological needs and goals, whilst promoting best possible outcomes. Jamiela values and is committed to harnessing, a collaborative and genuine therapeutic relationship to foster growth, insight, fulfilment, meaning and self-actualisation.

Helen Brittan

Counsellor

Helen is a Counsellor & Psychotherapist in private practice “Nurturing Growth” with over 10 years experience in the not-for-profit sector. Helen has a background in teaching and Master of Counselling from Murdoch University.

Helen loves to see women’s confidence & independence develop, as they become empowered through individual and group therapy. Helen is primary interested in Women’s Health and Wellbeing issues. Including recovery from FDV, trauma, perinatal issues, family & relationship conflict, grief and loss, and issues of concern as women move through different life stages.

Helen works with Jamiela to deliver the Power to Change Group (PTC) Program in the private sector. The PTC is a self esteem program for women who have experienced past trauma. Helen enjoys creating an environment for women to safely explore their past trauma experiences, develop new resources, reflect, grow and connect with others.
